CBMMG welcome 18 new vehicles to improve operations

The Military Fire Department of Minas Gerais (CBMMG), received 18 new vehicles during a ceremony at the Civic Square of the Administrative City.

These vehicles arrived on Friday 10 October, with the CBMMG stating that they hope the fleet will improve operational service in the state.

The vehicles are an investment of 15.5 million, which derives from federal and state parliamentary amendments.

General Commander, CBMMG, Colonel Jordana Daldegan’s statement

General Commander of the Military Fire Department of Minas Gerais, Colonel Jordana Daldegan explained: “These deliveries mean an increase in our service capacity, arriving as quickly as possible and more safely in our cities.

“These vehicles are for firefighting, rescue, that is, it is a complete package of service in search, always, for the safety of society.”

Vehicles in the fleet

Among the models, the corporation received six firefighting and rescue trucks; seven rescue trucks and five ambulances equipped with the necessary materials for various types of emergencies.

The new vehicles aim to provide increased security for the troops, in addition to greater agility and technology in services whilst reducing maintenance costs.

10 strategic municipalities

The 18 vehicles will be distributed to 10 strategic municipalities in the state, covering about 5.5 million inhabitants.

Considering the entire area of operation of the operational units, another 97 municipalities will also be served. In the same area, seven historic cities stand out where the operational reinforcement increases the capacity to protect the cultural heritage of Minas Gerais.

The 10 municipalities directly served are: Belo Horizonte, Poços Caldas, Conselheiro Lafaiete, Contagem, Divinópolis, Ipatinga, Juiz de Fora, Patos de Minas, Patrocínio, Uberaba and Uberlândia.
