The Military Fire Department of Minas Gerais (CBMMG) has shared how the Military Fire Brigade Academy (ABM) held a graduation ceremony for the Civil Protection and Defense Course (CPDEC) on the 17 October.
The ceremony took place in the courtyard of the ABM and was attended by the Deputy Commander of the Military Fire Academy, Lieutenant Colonel Guilherme Inácio do Couto Oliveira.
The Chief of the 5th Section of the General Staff, Lieutenant Colonel Ana Carolina Nunes de Oliveira; the Commander of the 2nd Military Fire Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Herbert Aquino Marcelino, in addition to other civil and military authorities.
With a workload of 110 class hours, the course was held in person between 29 September and 17 October.
The training aimed to expand the scope of action of the CMBBG with society, going beyond emergency response actions and promoting training in all stages of the Civil Protection and Defense cycle.
During the course, participants were trained in topics related to integrated and collaborative management between agencies and institutions, seeking to increase the resilience of municipalities in the face of disasters and strengthen their capacity to respond to adverse situations.
The 2025 Civil Protection and Defense Course reaffirms CBMMG’s commitment to the continued training of its members and the strengthening of risk and disaster management actions in Minas Gerais.
The training represents an essential step to improve the Corporation’s performance, increase the efficiency of the services provided to the population and contribute to the construction of safer and more resilient communities.
