The Rio de Janeiro State Military Fire Department (CBMERJ) has carried out an operational simulation at a renewable energy company to strengthen emergency response procedures for industrial fire incidents.
The exercise was led by the 19th Military Fire Brigade Group and involved 25 firefighters from the 19th Fire Department Battalion, including personnel from Area I Fire Command, alongside the company’s internal fire brigade.
During the simulation, crews responded to a staged fire in one sector of the industrial plant. The scenario enabled teams to practice arrival procedures, establish an Operational Command and Control System, coordinate firefighting activity, and protect strategic areas of the site.
The drill also tested the facility’s Operations Plan, including access routes, installed preventive systems, and integration procedures between CBMERJ personnel and the company employees responsible for the initial response.
CBMERJ said the exercise supported the alignment of emergency procedures, improved communication between public and private response teams, and strengthened the capacity for coordinated action during incidents in industrial environments.
The department said regular simulations form part of its prevention strategy and support its commitment to staff training, operational excellence, and the protection of life, property, and the environment.
