Rio de Janeiro State Military Fire Department (CBMERJ) military personnel received the Technological Merit Medal on Thursday 10 July at the Guanabara Palace at Laranjeiras.
The award ceremony took place during the anniversary ceremony of the Secretariat for Digital Transformation and PRODERJ, which are celebrating, respectively, three and 57 years of operation and strengthening of digital transformation in Rio de Janeiro.
During the celebration, 77 professionals were honored with the award that recognizes the importance of their services and contributions to information and communication technology in the state.
Among the military personnel included were the Secretary of Civil Defense and General Commander of the Rio de Janeiro Fire Department, Colonel BM Tarciso Salles; the Chief of the General Staff and Deputy General Commander of CBMERJ, Colonel BM Luciano Sarmento; the Director of the Center for Dental Studies and Research, Lieutenant Colonel BM Debora Teixeira; the Superintendent of Health of SEDEC, Colonel BM RR Miura; and the Special Advisor to the Secretary of State for the Civil House, Colonel BM Renato Gomes.
Colonel BM Tarciso Salles shared: “This medal represents recognition of our collective and ongoing work. Technology has been a great ally in our mission to save lives and protect the population. It is a source of pride for the Fire Department to be part of this state modernization process.”
