The Military Fire Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro (CBMERJ) participated in the 10th National Meeting of Firefighters (Enbom), held in Curitiba (PR).
The Meeting took place between the 28 and 30 October.
The event was promoted by the National Council of General Commanders of the Military Fire Brigades (CNCGBM/LIGABOM) and organized by the Military Fire Brigade of the State of Paraná (CBMPR).
It intended to bring together professionals from all over the country in an important space for integration, training and appreciation of women’s performance in public security.
The program took place at the Poty Lazzarotto Auditorium, at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum and included lectures, thematic panels and practical activities, as well as moments of fraternization and exchange of experiences between firefighters from all units of the federation.
The meeting aimed to strengthen gender equity policies in corporations and value the role of military firefighters in the various operational and management scenarios.
One of the highlights of the program was the opening lecture given by Hortência Marcari, former player of the Brazilian Basketball Team.
With the theme “Lessons of a lifetime: strategy, values and attitude of a champion”, the athlete inspired the participants by sharing her trajectory marked by discipline, overcoming and leadership, which are values that also guide the work of military firefighters throughout the country.
During the meeting, the Technical-Operational Competition Firefighter of Garra was also held, at Nossa Senhora de Salette Square.
The test simulated a real Firefighter Down scenario in five intense phases: equipping, setting up the line of attack, overcoming obstacles, locating and removing the victim and breaking into the cold zone.
CBMERJ firefighters participated in the dispute, demonstrating technical preparation and physical resistance.
The CBMERJ delegation was composed of Lieutenant Colonel Jaqueline Pascoutto, Lieutenant Colonel Paula Rangel, Major Rafaela Conti, Captain Larissa Queiroz, 1st Lieutenant Gabriela Cavalcanti and 1st Lieutenant Camila Sena.
