The Ceará State Military Fire Department (CBMCE) has shared how the Fire Department Museum held its first guided tour for students.
The inauguration of the museum took place on 28 August 2025, which is the date of the centenary of the foundation of the CBMCE.
Thirty-six students from the 5th year of the Military College of the Fire Department Writer Rachel de Queiroz (CMCB) were the first visitors.
According to the CBMCE, they explored the collection during the morning. The main objective of the visit was to enrich learning.
Sergeant Kilder Teixeira guided the class. He serves as the museum’s architect and conservator. The students were able to get to know various work materials.
The CBMCE also spotlighted how the guests enjoyed learning about the equipment, rescue situations and particularly firefighting suits.
The CBMCE Museum was designed in 1934 by military engineer Captain José Rodrigues da Silva.
The building recently underwent renovations in 2024, as part of a plan to conserve the historical heritage of the structure.
