Bullard launches Adaptix Rescue Helmet certified to NFPA 1950

Bullard has launched the Adaptix Rescue Helmet, a lightweight technical rescue helmet certified to NFPA 1950 (1951), 2025 Edition.

Designed for technical rescue teams, the new helmet combines side-impact protection, a low-profile fit and an adaptable accessory platform intended to support a wide range of rescue operations.

At 17.3 ounces, Adaptix Rescue is built to provide a secure, balanced feel during extended use. The helmet is available in vented and non-vented versions, allowing departments to select a configuration suited to their operating environment.

The helmet also features Bullard’s FlexBrim Removable Brim, which enables users to switch from a no-brim configuration to a flexible full-brim design in seconds. Compatible options include pivoting eye protection, goggles, face visors, hearing protection, lights, neck shades and sunshades.

Robert Gonzalez, Bullard Global Product Manager for Fire Helmets, said technical rescue teams need equipment that can adapt to different operations without compromising comfort or protection. He said Adaptix Rescue was developed as a lightweight, configurable helmet platform for modern rescue teams.

Adaptix Rescue includes a breathable mesh crown support designed to create adjustable airspace above the head for airflow and stability. It also uses an adaptable ratchet headband with self-adjusting nape support, while the optional vented model helps direct heat away from the head.

The helmet is designed for easier cleaning and maintenance, with field-replaceable parts to support decontamination. Departments can also customize units with logo or emblem printing, as well as multiple shell and FlexBrim color options.
