Bridger Aerospace Group Holdings, Inc. announced that its founder and former CEO, Timothy P. Sheehy, has been sworn in as the United States Senator for Montana.
According to Bridger, Sheehy’s leadership and service extend from his time as a Navy SEAL Officer to his tenure at Bridger Aerospace.
Sheehy led the company from 2014 to July 2024, overseeing its growth from a start-up to one of the largest aerial firefighting companies in the U.S.
Bridger Aerospace operates the world’s largest private Super Scooper fleet, assisting in wildfire suppression across the country.
Sheehy’s military background includes service as a Navy SEAL Officer and receiving honors such as the Bronze Star with Valor and the Purple Heart.
Bridger Aerospace emphasized his commitment to public service, noting his transition from military service to leading a publicly traded company in Montana.
“Tim has consistently demonstrated leadership and a commitment to his country,” said Jeff Kelter, Bridger’s Executive Chairman.
“We believe his vision will benefit Montanans and all Americans during his time in the Senate.”
As a Senator, Sheehy will serve on three committees: Veterans’ Affairs, Armed Services, and Commerce, Science, and Transportation.
These assignments align with his background in military service and aviation.
Kelter added: “Tim’s efforts in Washington, D.C., will reflect his dedication to public service and the well-being of his constituents.”
Bridger Aerospace expressed confidence in Sheehy’s ability to carry his leadership and service values into his new role.
The company stated that his previous experience positions him to advocate effectively for Montana’s interests and broader national priorities.
