NFPA appoints Andy Jenks as chief operating officer

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has announced Andy Jenks as its new chief operating officer (COO), effective immediately, according to the NFPA.

Jenks has been with the organization since 2018, initially as vice president of marketing and digital experience, and later expanding his responsibilities to include oversight of the IT division in 2020.

As COO, Jenks will be responsible for overseeing all NFPA operational functions, working closely with teams to support NFPA’s strategic goals.

Jim Pauley, NFPA President and CEO, expressed confidence in Jenks’ abilities: “Andy is passionate about NFPA’s mission, our stakeholders, and our people, and will play an invaluable role driving meaningful progress for NFPA and our diverse audiences.”

Pauley added that Jenks’ focus would help ensure growth and continued value for NFPA’s customers.

He managed two development teams, strengthening the brand’s digital presence.

His career path was shaped by earlier entrepreneurial success, as he co-founded Swatchbox Technologies, a firm known for its virtual design platform.

NFPA’s commitment to operational excellence

As Jenks steps into his role as COO, NFPA’s leadership highlights its ongoing commitment to operational excellence and alignment with the association’s mission.

With his experience in both digital transformation and operational leadership, Jenks is expected to bring a focused, data-driven approach to NFPA’s operational functions, supporting initiatives that address the needs of stakeholders across fire protection and safety fields.

Pauley emphasized the importance of this new leadership role, underscoring Jenks’ impact on NFPA’s strategic initiatives: “I’m confident he’ll continue to bring exceptional dedication and impact to NFPA.”
