Amentum has received a $425 million contract from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) to provide aviation support for wildfire suppression across the state.
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) established the initial three-year agreement with two additional option years.
Amentum will manage the training, scheduling and mobilization of 350 pilots and mechanics to ensure the specialized aircraft fleet remains ready for deployment.

The company provides program management and training alongside the operational deployment of aviation personnel to address the escalating wildfire crisis.

These services include maintenance and repair activities designed to keep the firefighting fleet fully operational for year-round missions.
