Asset Panda has launched expanded fire department asset tracking capabilities designed to help agencies modernize equipment oversight, strengthen audit readiness and simplify NFPA compliance across stations and fleets.
The company said its cloud-based Asset Panda Pro platform now supports fire departments with a single system of record for equipment inspections, maintenance scheduling and compliance documentation. The software is designed to replace spreadsheets, paper logs and disconnected systems with centralized tracking for mission-critical assets, including SCBA cylinders, hydraulic rescue tools, apparatus equipment, medical gear, turnout gear and station inventory.
Asset Panda said the platform also integrates Ursa, its proprietary AI assistant, which adds conversational capabilities so fire departments can interact with asset data more efficiently. By digitizing workflows and consolidating equipment records into a searchable system, the company said departments can improve audit readiness, reduce liability exposure and gain clearer visibility into the assets crews rely on during emergency response.

The launch comes as fire departments face growing pressure to maintain compliance with evolving NFPA standards while demonstrating operational readiness and supporting municipal budget requests. NFPA standards cover the inspection, care, maintenance and lifecycle of firefighter equipment and protective gear, including NFPA 1851 for protective ensembles, NFPA 1852 for SCBA and NFPA 1911 for emergency vehicles.
