A-Gas has added fire protection recharge operations at its Greater Philadelphia facility, expanding support for customers across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
The company said the location offers one-day transit to Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C., giving customers in major metropolitan markets faster access to fire protection products and services along the Atlantic corridor.
The facility can recharge leaking or discharged system cylinders with a range of clean agent fire suppressants for critical applications. According to A-Gas, the suppressants it sells meet or exceed industry standards and are supplied with Certificates of Analysis backed by ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Matt Scott, vice president of fire protection at A-Gas, said: “Expanding our Greater Philadelphia area facility to include Fire Protection Recharge Operations allows us to better support customers across the Atlantic corridor with the speed, reliability, and technical expertise they depend on.
“With one-day transit times to major markets including Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C., this operation positions us to help customers reduce downtime and get critical products in the system bottles they need, with fast transit times and full parts availability especially for hard-to-find swap-in cylinders.”
The Philadelphia-area facility will stock empty system cylinders in multiple brands and sizes for the company’s Simple Swap program. Designed for urgent requirements, including emergency recharges, the program supplies like-for-like hardware while a customer’s original unit is unavailable.
After delivering a replacement cylinder, A-Gas collects the empty or leaking unit at no additional charge and credits the customer at an agreed rate per pound of recovered agent.
The new recharge capability joins the site’s existing A-Gas Rapid Recovery® and Rapid Exchange® services, creating a regional hub focused on system uptime and service continuity.
