This year’s theme emphasizes the importance of foundational fire training to ensure the safety and health of firefighters and emergency responders.

Participation and rewards

Emergency services personnel are encouraged to take and promote the quiz.

Those who complete it by June 19 at 11:59 p.m. ET can enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a limited-edition challenge coin commemorating the 2024 theme.

The quiz is available on the Safety Stand Down website at www.SafetyStandDown.org.

During Safety Stand Down week, fire departments nationwide are asked to suspend non-emergency activities to focus on fundamental fire training.

The campaign provides a full week to ensure all shifts and personnel can participate.
